A strategic approach to achieving goals

Achieving the goals you set can be difficult. However, you can use some commitment strategies to be more likely to achieve your goals. Learn more.

Goals are great-but, usually, our methods of achieving them are tedious, time-consuming, and tiresome.

This tedious life often leads people to completely abandon their goals, even if it is what they really want to achieve. This is why the stadium was overcrowded at the beginning of this year but dropped sharply by the end of the year.

What is a promising device?

Commitment equipment is a way to lock yourself in habits or behaviors you might not otherwise want to do. There are basically two types of commitment devices: Active equipment. These devices can bring positive rewards for you to perform different tasks. The idea is that when you associate the task with the promised device, you create a positive feedback loop, making it easier to establish new habits.

Negative equipment. On these devices, you will take something or risk being taken away to encourage you to follow a certain behavior or habit. The idea is that you force yourself to focus on the task by eliminating the things that prevent you from focusing, or you risk losing something by doing certain things, thereby forcing you to complete the task.

Although they are called positive or negative devices, this does not mean that they are better than the other! They simply describe how the promised device works. And whether you choose positive or negative means depends entirely on your preferences and the goals you want to achieve.
